Spotlight: The Patricia Calloway Endowment for Dance Excellence

In March 2024, Patricia Calloway (BFA Dance, 1981) donated $4.2 million to establish the Calloway Endowment for Dance Excellence — the largest single gift in ACAPA's history. The endowment funds scholarships for Dance students with demonstrated need, supports the Department of Dance's guest artist residency program, and underwrites the annual Calloway Choreography Prize. Ms. Calloway danced professionally with the Boston Ballet and Hartford Stage before founding Calloway Dance Works, a nationally recognized contemporary company based in New York City. She has choreographed for Broadway, film, and over forty regional companies.
